December 2010 - Adventures With Ellie

Way to Start 2011

Happy Last official day of 2010!! Wow everyone has this year flown by or what? I am beyond excited to see what 2011 will hold.

As I had mentioned on my last post my hubby had ordered me a Project Life Kit and guess what came today!!

I also made a video because well I really think this is one awesome project that everyone should give it a go!  I know for myself who is always running about doing so much this makes everything so simple and everything you need is there and its up to you if you want to add more or just use what comes in this kit (I AM IN LOVE)

Here is a little video I made w/my Ramzees' help.  So anyone out there ordered a kit as well?

Time for me to go as I am making New Years Eve BBQ Wings in my Crockpot and I have to go prepare them & get the last touches of cleaning up for tonight.

We are going to be home in our PJ's and have the TV on to watch the ball drop at Times Square while we  play board games.

I truly thank our Lord for my Family and even with all its up and downs this year has brought it has made us stronger, closer and we look forward to the New Year and its adventures!

Blessing to you and yours! As always thank you for all of you that have stopped by and I look forward to sharing the coming year w/you. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Singing Angels

Hello my wonderful Blogger Friends!

Hope everyone has been enjoying the last week of 2010. As for me I am here w/my babies playing, playing and more playing.  Actually we have been snowed in. Yesterday we did manage to go out there for a few but came back to snuggle inside there is just too much snow out there!

I finally have ink for my printer. YAY so that means I can work again on the last of my December Daily pages..Sniff,sniff.. I REALLY have enjoyed scrapbooking that album so much . OH my could it be that Scrapbookmama is making a come back?

Today My wonderful amazing honey buns Hubby (ha) ordered me Becky's Project Life Kit   I can not WAIT to get it!

I am going to try to incorporate more scrapbooking again into my blog/life after I am Scrapbookmama of 4 kidz right.

I was over at Studio Calico. DID YOU GUYS see the kit for January- GASP I can not WAIT till I get that yumo box in my hands.  Any hoot this week Stephanie issued a challenge to use those pictures that well you thought you couldn't use. She used some sweet pictures of hers when she was in the hospital that were in her phone of her beautiful little blessings. (YES plural ).

So I took the challenge. Isaac was in the annual Christmas Concert at school and well lets just say Mama went picture happy. I'm still trying to figure out how to take cool pictures w/my cool camera and lets just say I get just as excited (ok maybe more) when my babies are doing anything. So I printed out those pictures that were well.. hmm so so.. into little  1x 1 1/2 pictures and it worked perfectly!

I know I am missing other pages (Will share ASAP) but here is My December Daily Day 22 :

Well I am off as its time for my lunch and the boys want to go outside and have a snowball fight. We do have enough snow for it. New york is one hot mess right now we truly are living it seems in the North Pole.

As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas :)

Just wanted to come & post on and let you know how amazing this year has been. Thank you for the comments, visitors invisible and not :) Hope you and yours had a very blessed and Merry Christmas.

I have been enjoying watching my children enough the fun. There is nothing more I could ask then to see so much happiness & listen to all the giggles.

Here is just a little collage from the past days. If I were to make a collage of all the pictures I've taken the past two days WELL I think I'd have over 150 pictures. YES I was a bit camera happy. At least I'll have plenty to work with for my December Daily album!

As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Oh what Wishlist it would be....

Hey everyone!

Is everyone ready? Did you get all your shopping in? As for me I am just about done. Yes I am still shopping. But is so my friend. Have to love their free 2 day shipping for people who like me well lets just say we love that suspense of the last minute.

I am going to try to finally post my December Daily pages which were suppose to be up yesterday but lets see- I had to run to the doctor because I got an allergic reaction to a new brand of Popcorn I tried and I woke looking like Hitch (you seen the movie? I was the sequel ) . SO I am on some meds for 6 days and just itchy. Hmm not fun.

Then my Sassy decided to play climb that mountain on the chair that we tell her NO climbing and you guessed it off she fell and we ran w/her to the ER. Praise God she is ok. She was such a Ham they even let her keep her xray. THEN my computer crashed (I'm on hubby's computer) w/a virus after my youngest son asked to see a picture of the 3 Kings we clicked it and BOOM :( so trying to fix it.

So in all that fun my day was well swept away so I'm playing catch up today.
As I was shopping online  I saw on Twitter that  Studio Calico   asked to post about your wishlist and that sure got me to thinking. I'm super easy when it comes to making me squeal give me some ink, stamps, cardstock & patterned paper I'm a happy girl.

For example we got sneak peeks of their upcoming kits.. OH NUTTY. I can't wait to get my kit but I am in trouble because the add on kits.. Well I NEED them all. So Santa oh Santa if you are reading my wishlist get me some Gift Certificates so it could come true! OH and they also have those cloud punches I've been drooling about...or those new Mr.Huey's Glimmer Mist everyone is raving about. oh to dream a Little sweet dream.

I know my family is thinking I'm a fool since all I want is to play w/paper but I can't help it. It makes me squeal..and did I mention sane?

On my non Crafty Wish list would be some active Running gear. YES because I've started to run something I never thought I would do and you know what I like it. So sneakers, and pants and a cool shirt would rock.

Then to hear my children squealing when I see their faces opening their gifts (I think mama did good this year) will be all for me. See aren't I easy ;)

Santa Calico.. what do you think?

As always thank you so much for stopping by. I am going to try and post my pages although I am kind of nervous to go on my computer but we shall see. If not I'll try to post them from my hubby's computer.

1 Week to Go!

December Daily 15

Wanted to come and post my December Daily for the 15th. Super busy today so can't chit-chat too much.
I wanted to share that I received a prize from Bella Blvd of Elle's Studio goodies PERFECT for this album
so I had to jump in and use them!. The tags as well as the stamped label were part of my goodies. You are going to be seeing me use the rest of the goodies as I make more of my pages. I love it.

I hope you have a wonderful day and as always thank you so much for stopping by!

Why Yes I'm a Procrastinator

There I've said it and feel all the much better.   Today I am on super speed mode as I am trying to address all my Christmas cards so I can mail them out today! YES it will get done today. It has to get done. DID you know Christmas is NEXT Saturday... EEKKK...

So needless to say I don't have my December Daily to share just yet but I will share 2 days of them I hope by tomorrow that is if all these envelopes don't bury me first

But I thought I'd share another little card w/you. I love Snowmen. Isn't he the most sweetest?  He's actually a digi stamp (you know how I love my digi images) He's from Heather Ellis.  Love all her stuff.

Just as the card say sending you warm wishes. Sure its not "officially" Winter but I beg to differ Ha.

As always thank you so much for stopping by! Wish me luck finishing up .. hmm I think I already know what the picture for today's December Daily should be can you guess?

December Daily 14

Hello All!

Wanted to come an post my page for Today. I had a blast getting my pictures for today's post as we ended up with some snow on the ground. My little Sassy said she just had to go out there and play. It is FREEZING today but I bundled her up and went outside just  long enough to get pictures for today!

Here is what I came up with :

I actually took 82 pictures. Yes you read that right. So I had lots of editing and picking out to do. But it was worth it. Don't worry we just stayed outside if 15mins. tops. Love my Rapid opt. on my camera.

As you can see I just added some little elements and wrote the journal for the day. I love the pictures
which are so sweet. Hope you are staying warm and as always thank you so much for stopping by!

Hey U

Just a little card that didn't get picked up. I was thinking of rainbows,Spring, & Fun w/this little card.  It snowed here last night so its a snuggle day for my Sassy & myself. Hope you get a chance to do a bit of that as well today.

December Daily Day 13

Ha, I did it. I came back with a finished page for today! I am so happy. So this page is completely done again with Photo Shop Elements. Today I learned some new things.  It sure is fun and  after I finish this album I will be able to digi scrap way more.  YAY.

Ok so now for my page. Today my mom had come over to do some Christmas shopping for my kids. She got here super early and we headed out. I had told her about the album I was making (as she questioned why did I have my camera w/me) I said oh you know me and my love of playing w/paper now pose... AND SO this is how this page came to be!

I took this page straight from when I created it. I did print it out but  wanted to see if I could link it up from there Ha... Guess I can.  This is a fun page and I know my brother will get a giggle out of it as well.

Once more thank you so much for stopping by and its time for me to get some shut eye. Since I am actually caught up how about tomorrow I share a card? GASP ha..

Sweet Evening everyone.

Ok lets Try this Again.

So I started this post last night and then what happens my computer freezes and it was already 11ish at night and well I was so tired and said oh I'll just do it in the AM. The morning came but my mom got here super early and we headed out to do some final shopping for my kids that she was doing. Went food shopping then came home did a little running then it was time for the boys to come home, homework, cooking dinner, eating dinner and then .. ITS Night time again! Ha

OK enough of my rambling lets see if I can catch you guys up !

December Daily Day 10

This page was about my brand new nephew  Benjamin who just was born. He is my 4th nephew and is such a sweetie little cutie. Oh I just wanted to love him up all day.

As you can see on the page I used an over lay which I found on Digital Scrapbookng which has turned to one of my favorite places to get some awesome elements. Such as this one. :) For the start I used my reg. Windows and just used one of my fonts & inserted the picture. For an extra interest I paper pierced the star and distressed the edges of the star. added a bit of bakers twine and added it to my Page.  For the side that is some Papertrey Ink Felt. I have a little bag that I had cut out a whole bunch of elements to have on hand just so I can have things to grab and use and not have to stop to die cut anything. It helps w/keeping your mojo going.

 December Daily Day 11

This page was made with the picture my mother in law took of us when we leaving our Church after our Isaac's  First Reconciliation which is one of the steps he needs to get ready for his First Communion in May. We truly were proud of him (Journal is done behind the page that is why I stapled it on)

For this page I decided to take my Patterned paper and tear it in slices and added to the sheet . I really like the effect it gave it.. Of course I had to take on some distress ink and edge about. For another accent I added jumbo eyelets. The ribbon I attached to the page with staples (yes I am having a thing with stapling things lately Ha)

December Daily Day 12

For this page since I didn't take any pictures because 1-It rained ALL day 2- It was just one of those nice Super lazy, just relax kind of days and 3- I was too busy washing clothes.

So for this card I just did a journal for it. Again using those elements for where I wrote my little note. Printed it out and added some Cosmo Cricket stickers and inked the edges added some Basic Grey Patterned paper, Stampin Up Satin Ribbon, and a scallop sticker element & glitter heart and YEAH we have my pg for the day!

WOW I'm all caught up YAY.   I am so happy. I am working on Today's page. Since my Sassy fell asleep (we had another full day today) lets see if I can come back and post GASP!

Well I hope you have had a wonderful weekend & Monday. As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Letters of Love

Evening everyone!

Seems like its gonna be late night posting for a while as its the only time I get a bit of me time right now. Can you believe its only 14 days till Christmas?! How did that happen? Are you ready ? I sure am not! OH I know what am I waiting for. Its just the way we run around here always running about but make it just right and in the nick of time (no pun intended)!

Ok now on to sharing my December Daily Day 9.  I must say I'm getting pretty good with that Photo Elements its SO much fun. I HAVE to get the full version.   I am currently using my free sub. so I can learn as much as I can from it and then I will get the full version.

For this page I used a free digi kit I got from  Design House Digital I loved the patterned papers
and put it to use.  I added the elements as well and the tag to the pages to create the extra layers.

Its so much fun. I am loving this process. As you can see I have another pocket and this one as well
was larger but I cut it and made it to fit my album.  Dressed up a Kraft Envelope and put the letters
for my kids inside them. (click on the picture to see more details)

I am so glad I took the plug and decided to give it a go and try making a December Daily. I will most
def. try to keep this on for years to come.  I hope my kids will cherish looking back at what they were doing for the Christmas Season as much as I love making this for them.

Well its getting late and I have to get up early to go to church in the morning so I best get moving.

As always thank you so much for stopping by and thank you for your comments they really make
me smile and keep me going on this album!

These are the Days of Our Lives

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you all. So I am finally getting a chance to post my December Daily Day 6,7, & 8 (Opps!)

Here is Day 6 :

The theme for Day 6 was the first "Snow" of the year. Although it was super light flurries it was the first of the year!  For this page I received the order I was waiting from twopeas where I had ordered a couple of overlays and I used one of them here.

Day 7

For Day 7 the Theme was My Life according to Facebook. Its actually an "app" they have on Facebook
which compiles some of your statues throughout the year. I thought it was pretty funny to see my comments and said this is the perfect thing to put in my book.

Now what do you notice about this page? can you tell. I printed it out. The whole page. I learned how
to use Photoshop Elements (well the basic to do this) again because of the awesome Ali. I have been
so afraid of Photoshop because it just looked super nuts to me. But her video was so super easy
I was so excited I was able to Digi stuff I have already. I love Digi scrapbooking but when I have its
always turned into a hybrid because I didn't know how to use it!

Day 8

Ok first off I MUST apologize for these pictures because they do the pages NO justice what so ever. This was another of my favorite day so far. The weather here in NY is cloudy icky and well so not picture
taking inside kind of day. (Planning to retake them tomorrow) With that said. As you see it was a fun day w/the family we finished our tree, went to see Santa and just had a good day over all. If you see the 2nd row the middle little pocket that is a little card I put w/my journal for the day  in it.

I have been LOVING how Ali has been doing a day with just one picture and putting the overlay over it
and that is what made me try the PSE because I wanted to include it in my album. SO happy is me.

Also I wanted to mention those little pocket inserts was the idea of awesome Nichol  when I saw them
I just went to twopeas and ordered it. Only thing was my album is NOT a 12x12 album but saw that I could cut it because they are actually sewn so when I cut it no damage and they fit into my album!

Well I am off because my little Sassy wants to take a little nap and I am about to join her for some snuggling!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Keep warm!

Time Running Through my Fingers

Seriously anyone out there have a pause button. I SERIOUSLY need one. I know they say Time flies when your having fun but this is crazy. Yes I have been having so much fun as I have so much going but I seem to not have enough hours to do all I want. I have my Day 6 and 7  December Daily to share BUT that I will do tomorrow because to be honest today has been a world wind but in a wonderful way!

Took the kids to see Santa, spent time w/the kids and Hubby came home and finished fixing the tree.  Received some goodies in the mail (shhh Christmas gifts), last day of Baseball camp for Ram and THE BEST news of the day which I just received a few minutes ago I'm an aunt again to another Sweet little boy! I can not wait to meet the new sweet addition to our Family. He looks like his oldest brother Ha..(3rd boy for my SIL & BIL). So cute I can't wait to get my kisses in!

Any hoot speaking of feeling the Love today I thought I'd share my card that is in the current Paper Crafts Magazine.

I had fun making this card.  A little share for you guys. See those chipboard letters they were actually another color but I wanted some black ones so I grabbed some embossing power and made them to what I needed. I do that allot.  I will use embossing powder or markers and change the letters to the color I need cool little trick and a nice way to save a few pennies.

Well I am ready to go to bed as tomorrow is gonna be another fun filled day my boys have a half day from school.

Before I go I thought I'd share a pic of my babies today :

Hope you have had a wonderful day and as always thank you so much for stopping by!

Playing Catch Up

Hello everyone!

Sorry I hadn't come and posted but as I had stated on my last post my poor hubby has the FLU and he has been my main concern.  So tonight  I am sharing both my Day 4 & 5 of my December Daily Album.

This page made me giggle as its my Sassy doing what she loves to do. Playing "Salon" usually its her
barbies that get their hair done but on this day my cousin had come to visit for the weekend. As he
was playing XBOX w/Ram guess who came along and told him that he needed his hair done.

This page came about actually with help of Ali Edwards because I was truly STUCK for
my pictures for last night until she said how about random pictures.  Then I thought well
I know something that I do every night -which is stop and look at my babies when they fall asleep
and just am in awe and feel so blessed.

Now I don't have Photoshop and even though I do want to get it someday (ha). Well
its not going to be anywhere in my budget for now so I decided to see if I could anything on Microsoft Word.
Guess what I can and did. Those are my pictures I just edited and love the effect it gave it!

Since the paper I printed the pictures were to stark I decided to crumble up the picture and then use
my distress ink to give it a vintage look.  My scrap page was originally in Vintage Cream but again
it was too stark so I added more distressed ink. I used a some Patterned Paper
from my Echo Park-Merry Christmas kit for the background.  The picture was attached to the page by
 stapling it.

My letter stickers used were from the Kit as well as some Basic Grey-Curio collection.  For my little journal I printed I used some PTI Designer Paper(Library Ledger) and then punched it out w/my large oval punch
.Added some pearls and my page was done.

Well its time to finish some dinner and check up on how my hubby is doing (he's sleeping) Tomorrow is actually his Birthday. Can you guess what Day 7 will be about :)

I will share (hopefully) both Day 6 & 7 tomorrow!  As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Around The Neighborhood

Evening all. Another evening post. Today's reason is because it seems my poor hubby has caught the Flu :( So I have been tending to him all day.

So I finally had a chance to post My December Daily For Day 3. This page was made with the help of my Ram. He did the "scrapbooking" &  I did the little journal. I was really surprised when he said hey can I do a page. OF COURSE I was so excited I let him and TOTALLY forgot to take pictures of him doing so! GRRR never the less we still loads of days to go so next time when he helps me I will MOST def remember to take my camera!

So w/further ado here is our December Daily Page.

Seems as my boy got creative and took some Echo Patterned paper and cut it in angles and added ribbon and brads. He told me his favorite thing on the page is the brads.   The Overlay is from Pink Paislee.  I think this is going to one of those pages I look back at and super smile and truly cherish because it was made by one of my babies.

As always thank you so much for stopping by! *tomorrow I will share Day 4 and the picture had me super giggling.*

OH Friday Madness

That's what it is here on Fridays... As the work week comes to an end my children get wild. Seriously that's what it has to be.. FREEDOM ha.. So I wasn't able to get this post till now which after 8 pm BUT I'm here!

I'm still working on my Day 3 of my December Daily so I'll have that for tomorrow. SO I shall share my finished page for yesterday.(Well more like what I have as I'm waiting for an order to get here which has my clear overlays I plan to use for this page.)

So for my 2nd day I decided to print my journal  for the day on my cardstock itself.   Grabbed
my stamps and kept it simple. I stamped "Gabi" and embossed in pink embossing
powder since that is one of her fav.colors the purple hearts was her idea.

Then my pictures I decided to grab one of those super cute Maya Roads Envelopes
that I am in love with. Once more I  grabbed my stamps and dressed it up this time with some snowflakes.
I wanted to mix up my album w/different colors not have it all be the tradition Christmas so I will be mixing up my pages. You'll get the more of that tomorrow when I share Day 3.

So I thought what if I end this post with a little card?  Do you miss them? I am actually trying
to get a little card making session going on tonight. We shall see if that happens because all my the kids are in
the stamp/play room tonight.  So they are a buzz and asking to borrow my stamps and cardstock and if I will play teacher and read and well How could I say no?

I have a thing for snowman.. Just as I do w/cupcakes. when I saw this little guy he had to come on home.
There are a couple of other buddies of his that I used on a couple of cards as well. They were  part of a kit
I had bought which had these chipboard pieces that are wonderful when you have to mass produce cards.
Just grab the elements and some ribbon some cardstock and patterned paper. Soon you'll have
all the cards you need  made by you full of love ready to send to that special person on your list!

Well as always thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Evening.

Imagination is a Beautiful Thing

Entry to my December Daily Today :

As I sit here writing these words to include in our album I can hear you my Sweet Gabi making your little world come alive. Each day I am blessed to hear you sing or watch you dance as you grab another of your outfits to make your imagination come alive.

This month I want to record what adventures you might create in your imagination world once we start to see all of the Christmas decorations go up around our neighborhood as well with everything we shall see. To hear your barbies share what they might have thought about Santa when they meet him. Or listening to you singing your Christmas songs practicing for our Christmas eve visit to Grandma.

I am so happy that I am able to record these moments and hold them dear in my heart I love you  my Sweet Gabrielle. Dream Big Sweetheart.

Pictures taken today :

This is my Finished Page for December 1st :

Tomorrow I shall Share December 2nd's finished Page. As always thank you so much for stopping by!

One Word- Part 2 (December Daily)

I decided to follow along with Reverb 10 .  The tagline is “reflect on this year & manifest what’s next.”  What a wonderful idea to use with my December Daily Ali had posted about this on her blog and well this would be a perfect way to get those words for the day when you would otherwise say hmm what can I write about if not you could still joint down what you used your prompt for that day and tuck it in your album.

For Today we had this : December 1 One Word.
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?
(Author: Gwen Bell)

This is what I will be adding to my Page for the day -

One Word -Memories
How this word screams in my mind. I want my children
to have the most beautiful childhood ones,
of growth, knowledge but most of all Love. I choose this
word because that is what I have seen grow in each of them
this year and only want that to grow more.
I love to watch Ramzees as he has started to want to plan for his
 future education (how times flies)
Before I know it next year will be here and he will be filling paperwork for High School.
I want his memories of what he has done thus far to be something he cherished
and is as proud as we are of him.
Our Isaac I see how he is now so excited to be able to read and share his awe
with us as well. Next year I want to hear his sweet little voice as he tells me
remember mama how I couldn’t read this book now it’s easy peasy.
Then there is  sweet Gabrielle who with each day that passes gives me a
memory and fills me with so many giggles. How each day she makes new
memories so quickly is growing so fast. I love that I can walk w/her as she makes
these memories and feel so blessed to each of my babies mother.
I look forward to next year to hear their memories from the year that has
once again passed us by so quickly. As I took this picture of the lights in
our tree I thought it’s a glimmer of the season for as fast as we can blink
we once again will be giggling outside in the sunshine and warmth and
thinking Christmas is almost near and once again new memories will be made.

I will share my finished page tomorrow along with my 2nd day of December Daily. As always thank you so much for stopping by!

First Day Let's Celebrate December Daily- Part 1

Happy Wednesday All. Also Happy Decemeber! How did that happen is what I have been wondering all day.

Well with the start of December comes the start of my sharing of what I will be doing with my December Daily Album. Today I wanted to share an accent that I made for today. I seriously was channeling Jenn McGuire & Tim Holtz last night when I was working on this little piece.

To create this accent page I used a sheet of  acetate punched the 3 holes to create a place to attach to my album. Then the fun began I took one of Tim  Holtz Tags and got to work.. First I die cut w/my Slice the #1 and used it as a mask as I got busy with different colors of Distress inks. Then I thought well I love candy canes as much as the next one so I grabbed my cute $1.00 Micheal's Craft Store stamps and stamped with Watermark ink and embossed them with clear powder and added more Distress ink and wiped off the excess ink to reveal it. Then I used the sheet I had used to cut out my Number and used that as a mask to be able to stamp the letters inside the number (its another $1.00 stamp set). Added a bit of ribbon that I have in my little jar of left overs (I just can't throw ribbon way that is AGAINST the Law lol) I attached them to my album using my little stapler and adding brads for the accents. On the side of the number I added a bit a bling and at the bottom I added a bit of green ribbon trim to finish the tag off.

When I finished and attached the tag to my acetate sheet what did I see behind it? The adhesive.. OH NO can't have that.. There I went and channeled Jennifer again and remembered what she does cover it up.  So I die cut the label and covered the back w/it.   I will take a picture later on today and share the back of it as the other side of that patterned paper (which is from My Mind's eye) actually has a ledger print where I will be able to journal.

I have yet to take any pictures because it is a rainy, cloudy very dark day and well my pictures are not coming out as I would like but I will try later on.

Well I hope you enjoying stopping by and get inspired to try to make your own Album to remember your Holidays.  I hope to come with the end of my First Day but if not I will share tomorrow.

As always thank you so much for stopping by !
