Moment of Prayer - Adventures With Ellie

Moment of Prayer

I just wanted to take a moment and express my deepest sympathy and prayers to the tragedy that sadly happened yesterday at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.

My heart aches for those parent who have lost a sweet child. As I watched on the television and saw the madness that  I just couldn't be comprehend all I could find myself do was cry.  Feeling so helpless all I could do was pray.

Having a Kindergartner and 4th grader myself I could not help myself and think of what those parents are going through.

To see my children get off the bus and then for them to have to see that I had been crying and try to explain that something so sad had happened and see my little 5 year old kneel down and say Mama can we pray please for those mamas and dads who  lost their babies.

How is it that this world come to a state that this evil can exist just makes me  so overwhelmed. I pray for all the families as they go through the most darkest times of their lives.

I pray they hold on to their faith and love that I have seen in their community. As I sadly walk in the shoes of losing a child and feel their pain so deeply I pray that our Lord's love surrounds them and they feel that comfort.

Holding my children a little tighter and making sure they know how much they are loved and continued prayers for those dealing with this horrific tragedy.
