April 2012 - Adventures With Ellie

Dream Big

Happy Hellos again. Today I am sharing a layout I did playing along w/ Diana who was celebrating her 3rd year Blog Anniversary.

Here is the Sketch she shared :

Here is my Take on it :

I decided to get a bit messy which is always fun. I used some pictures of my Sweets from his first few games.

For me I wanted to document & let him know that its one AWESOME thing to Dream Big. I did this layout because this past week it was only him & I that ended up walking to church and on our way there he was talking about how when he grows up  and becomes a baseball player he's going to get me a house that will be all mine and Daddy's (we currently rent) Where I will have my own garden & my own scrap room & Daddy a Man cave Ha.

He is my ever thoughtful boy. I told him that was awesome of him to think of us and I asked him so what if you don't become a baseball player. He looked at me and said OH no Mama I am but just in case I wouldn't be that then I'll be a teacher But still get you that house. Oh my sweet little boy.

So for his sweet little innocent heart I can only continue to pray you stay that way and DREAM BIG my love. You will be successful no matter what you do & I love everything and anything  you do & know I am 1000%  behind you!  Now PLAY BALL

Project Life Week 16

Happy Tuesday everyone! Another wonderful week in the books. This past week I used my Ipod for most of the week. I've come to terms that it's ok & being w/the awesome apps the quality of the pics are pretty good. Although I ALWAYS have my big camera w/me regardless as I have my Kelly Moore bag that makes it comfy to do so.

For this week I compacted using Design F  but cut off a row to include my pictures & w/each picture I made sure to document using Washi tape & Labels and accents. For my 2nd Page I used Design G

For the title for the Week I used one of Ali's Design Elements & uploaded onto my Silhouette machine. I then welded it  "Week 16" using Ali's Font to spell that out :

Can you tell the Key point of this week OH Yes BASBALL is back in full swing for the boys :) We also included back to school after Spring Break, some Lunch dates, Flower girl dress fun, & new Kincet games.

My 2nd Page was focused on pictures that I loved & wanted to include :

This page was all about our Day with my SIL & Shopping for Sassy's Flower girl dress for my SIL's upcoming wedding. I included a journal card about our whole day and all we did.

The back page was all about the stat of baseball for Sweets I was able to capture a few moments in between the cheering of him. This week Ram starts up he actually just received his uniform and team so I see I might be included lots of baseball this week :)

I used CathyZ Story Saver to document what is going on so far w/Sweets and his baseball this season. That pictures of sky was actually the sun setting as we were leaving the ball field it was AMAZING in person so it had to be included this week.

Well that is all from me for the Project Life this week. I hope you are enjoying your week. Are you doing Week in the Life w/Ali Edwards this week? I am & will share next week what I captured as I will combine PL & Week in the Life!

As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Weekend Shimelle Challenges

Happy Saturday Everyone! Thought I'd squeeze in a post before we head out for the boys games & Practice today. I managed to squeeze 2 more challenges from Shimelle's weekend Scrap fun!

First up was :  Use your Weekend Scraps Challenge:

I used elements that I had on my table. Which included washi tape & Goodies I had used for Project Life & from Etsy shops Picked up my cloud stamp from Studio Calico and added some clouds as the finishing touch.  The picture was of Sweets & Sassy on Easter morning. I actually am working on a mini album from Easter which I will share another time.

This 2nd challenge was to use Some pics that were "Rubbish"

For me I used these 2 pictures from Isaac's 2nd game. One of them he moved out of frame & the other  he was far away and it was a bit blurry but I loved it anyway.

For this  layout I used My Mind's Eye, Pink Paislee, October Afternoon & Simple Stories as well as American Craft for the alphabet letters.

I am in a hurry as I see  it's just time to go - Game Time is getting close.  Hope you enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Project Life Week 15

So another week running a bit late w/my weekly post! EEK. This week baseball has started for our Sweets so we need to get into the swing of things. It's amazing how FAST time flies throughout the day &; it's as if there is never enough hours.

BUT I make sure that I complete my documenting of the week. I know for me if I don't then I will get behind as I did last year and it was harder to catch up so for me being behind a couple of days then usual is better then weeks as I was last year & then feeling rushed to put it together.

So enough of my rambling. This is Week was Spring Break & being Ram was away it was mostly focused on what I did w/ Sweets & Sassy. Here we go.

For this week I used products from Banana Studio & Creative Bubble & goodies from my Studio Calico Kit.- Which is how I made my title for my Week. April's kit included a stencil from Jenni Bowlin that I am LOVING. I used Mr. Huey to mist the word "Week". I also included some of the SMASH date tape which is perfect to included the dates of the week I am documenting.

As you may have noticed I went Washi happy this week I am so loving it. I actually am using my find from Target.  Once again I made sure to document. and write as much as possible. I don't know about you but my memory gets the best of me so this week I would just open up my PSE and use one of the cards I wanted to use and jot down what I wanted & then save so when I went to print I just put them all on one sheet & print out and now I have my complete stories for the week. I am doing the same for this week I think this will be the way I do it from now on.

Added an extra 3 x4 cut page protector to add the picture of my documenting using my Washi tape.
My kids told me they like those "secret layers" I'll see if I add some more on our later weeks just for them.

I also used lots of letter stickers this week. I must say my favorite of ALL has to be Lily Bee ABC  they are the perfect size & you get SO much! I am going to have to order more because I want to have them available for my future weeks. I also used October Afternoon & Echo Park.

This week I used Page Protector Design A and Design G  I think these are my go to designs but have you guys seen what is coming in July!!! Page Protectors for Instagram pictures I CAN NOT WAIT! & the other sizes OH I can't wait.

Well as always I can not thank you enough for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful Week! I will be back on Sunday for a giveaway so make sure to stop by then!

U R Cool

This week the awesome Shimelle had a wonderful online Crop w/LOADS of fun which include 16 challenges!

I've been trying to squeeze in the last bits of Spring Break and working on some calls but in between I also wanted to play along w/some and was able to work on this layout.

I actually am sharing about the 1st challenge which was to take inspiration from a scrapbook page that was shared.

This is what I cam up with. I actually have been wanting to scrapbook this picture of my Sweets since it was from his birthday shoot I did last month. I also have this yummy paper from Echo Park-  Just a Note that I LOVE and got from one of my ALL time favorite online stores : My Scraps and More.

I also used some Washi tape that I got from Target! YES Target thanks to Lisa (Gluestick Girl) who posted on Twitter about her finding I had to run and get me some rolls ha. I also used some fun wood letters that were part of a Studio Calico kit. (I must really like this little boy huh lol) & also some elements from Simple Stories -AWESOME collection (which I also got from My Scraps & more)

For the background I used some Mr. Huey's from Studio Calico using the technique that Shimelle loves to use which is opening the bottle and sprinkling.

Well that is all from me for now as I just have 2 hours before my boys get home from school It being the first day back after Spring Break I know they are going to be extra tired & mama has to have some special treat for them before we head out for Sassy's Gymnastics class!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Project Life Week 14

Hello All! In the mist of Spring Break here. So this post will be less words and more sharing. So here what went on w/us last week :

This week I used  CathyZ's tiny templates which are so fun to use especially when you have lots of Instagram pics (which I happen to have) you just go in and put then in & then are able to journal which is something I wanted to do since I had been doing less of that & I wanted to make sure I had the words to go w/our happenings.

I included journaling cards and pictures from Good Friday where our Parish teens always react the Stations of the cross. I love to take the kids because not only do we do the Stations of the Cross but they can see why & what Holy Week is about.  We also visited  to our Anjelique as it was her 6th Angel Anniversary on Saturday.

Ram is at my In -laws so on our first day of Spring Break on Thursday and so we headed out to have a lunch date w/my two cuties & then the park. So on the 2nd page I included pictures of our day as I wanted to include the fun.

On the other side I included Easter pictures after mass we headed to our Annual Easter Family dinner there we meet up with Ram and everyone else and they had the annual Easter egg Hunt it is so fun to see them having a blast makes me feel so blessed for my family.

Well that is all from us this week. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Project Life Week 13

Hello again!

If you follow my blog you might be saying hey what happened to Week 12? Well I did have a video and even a blog post but the video would not show :( So I will redo the video and see if I can figure out what I might have done wrong? Our Week 12 was SUPER jam packed that I thought a video would have been better to share.

I digress so here I am sharing my Week 13 which was quieter then the previous but nevertheless very happy to share so here we go :

This week included celebrating our Isaac's 9th Birthday, Gymnastics class & stats, drawings.

More of the week where Isaac had a disposable camera where he took pictures of his classmates (those are the blurry pics on top). Starbucks treats for Mama & Ice cream treats for the boys. Celebrating at Friendly's & Palm Sunday.

Last but not least Hubby surprised me this weekend and took me to see Mirror,Mirror which I loved & even he enjoyed. He saw that they had a photo booth and said let's go and take some pics so you can add it in Project Life hehehe.. Love that man!

As always thanks so much for stopping by. I am off to try to retake that video so I can post. Tomorrow afternoon start Spring Break so let's see what I can squeeze :)
