So did I make you scratch your head with my blog title today? So let me explain. With a newborn and 3 other kids and a household to take care of let's just say it's been basically non existent that I scrapbook. Which has made me sad since I was on a roll right before my Summer REALLY got interesting w/the birth of our Beanie Girl.
SO today I said you know what I am going to challenge myself (AND anyone who wants to join me) and make a scrapbook page in 15 minutes! Plus in my bed as well my bedroom is where I basically live because the baby's bed and things are there.
Alright here is the recipe I used to get it done :
1- Sleeping baby
2- Proper Scrapbooking Music Mojo
3- Quick Supplies. I don't really have any current goodies right now as well you can imagine all my extra pennies are going to getting cute little outfits and anything else Baby Bean needs so I grabbed from what I had and this is what I used :
Yes see my bed. I grabbed some Elle Studio, Studio Calico and Amy Tan's last collection - Yes Please, washi tape, Cardstock for my base and velum. I didn't use my big paper trimmer I just used my little handy one which helped me cut my papers that I needed. I just grabbed my Tim Holtz stapler and also used my glue gun (not shown) because I don't even have adhesive right now! I then printed a picture from this week of my Littles having fun.
4- Sketch for inspiration :
This one is from this week's Silhouette blog. I loved that it had lots of layers and that's one of my favorite things to do while I scrapbook.
This page came together very quickly as I had the sketch handy already and I had thought out what I wanted to use. The colors were based on what was on the picture. At least minute I did run to my craft table and had to grab my Mr.Huey's spritz and give a bit of splashes. It wouldn't be my page if I hadn't. I am happy I was able to document this page. The title says it all. The Littles had a half day this week and our Beanie Baby had appointments as well. I decided to surprise them in the mist of running around a little 20 minute break in the new park that was built. They had a blast and I got some fun pictures and everyone was happy.
I did journal on the page but I have been liking to stick that on the back my pages as I usually write allot.
All in all my page took 22 mins. (I was keeping a timer) to complete as I had to go and get my glue gun and wait for it to heat up... hmm and yes I ended up w/a burn on my pinky . Scrapbook battle scars I guess. OH and to spend everything up even more my pictures I took them w/my Ipod 5!
So if you want I'd LOVE to see what you come up in this challenge. WHO wants to scrapbook in bed with me!
Next week let's see what I can up with in this challenge. I'm thinking I'll do a Project Life Spread.
