After School Snacks That are Healthy Too!

I don't know about you but when my babies get home from school all I hear after "Hi Mom what's for snack" and I am usually in the middle of busy and so I like to make sure I have something ready before hand so that way they can just go into the fridge and grab it and enjoy it before they get started before homework.
These 3 little recipes are super simple and require NO cooking! You might have heard it of them but if so I hope they remind you of how easy and fast they are and how much your kids will enjoy them!
1- Frozen Yogurt Covered Strawberries : Just as it sounds. I love to make these with my kids as its super easy and fun to make together. Here's what you'll need : Strawberries & Geek Yogurt ( I like make vanilla flavored I usually buy the big tubs and scoop out 2 cups) Lay a sheet of wax paper on a baker sheet and have your kids dip your strawberries in the yogurt and place on the wax sheet. Place the tray in the freezer for an hour and OH YUMO. These treats are so good. They are perfect too for Friday nights when you have movie night.
2- Apple Pie In a Cup : Another one my kids like to create for themselves I actually am planning on having some ready this afternoon when they get home for them! Here's what you'll need : Apples( I usually use 4 apples (1 per person) I cut it up (you could either peel it or leave it and cut it up in small pieces) I squeeze a bit of lemon while I finish the rest. Grab some gram crackers and put them in a plastic and crush it if your kiddies are around have them pound on it! After you have your gram crackers ready get your cups or cute bowls (I have special dessert cups that are plastic that I got at Target) Lay some gram crackers at the bottom of the cup then add the apple and add a big dollop of whipped cream on top and a little dash of cinnamon and get ready for some happy kids!
3-Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bites : This can get messy so yup you guessed it, another of my kids favorite to make with me. Here's what you'll need : 2 Cups of Quick Cook Oatmeal, 2 Cups of Chocolate Chip, banana and 2 tsp of Agave (you could use honey if you like) Mix your oatmeal and chocolate chip next mash your banana get your kids to help you with that next add the agave (or honey) and the banana and get mix happy! Now after you have it well mixed put the bowl in the fridge for an hour. Once you the hour is up get your kids to help you roll these up. Get a tray w/a wax sheet for this. I use a little 1 inch ice cream cup and we use this to keep them even. Once you have completed them put it in the freezer for half an hour to an hour and then enjoy!
I really hope you try these out and please let me know what your kids thought of them! Do you have any simple quick recipes your kids love for after school snacks?
